A simple soufflé may sound too good to be true, but this quick recipe is delicious and versatile.
Breakfast food has always been my favorite, no matter the time of day. Soufflés, however, always seemed to be too much hassle to make at home. But after trying a couple different recipes I found that using canned croissant dough was the solution to making this flaky treat truly effortless.
- Make it in a mug for breakfast on the go or fill a muffin pan and have enough for everyone.
- Try adding other ingredients you have around the kitchen like spinach, artichokes, bacon, or ham.
- Don’t be afraid to experiment with new flavors and variations.
Ingredients
-1 egg
-1/4 cup of milk
-1/4 cup of cheese
-2 pieces of croissant dough (pinched together to form a square)
Directions:
1. Mix together the egg, milk, and cheese. Spray an oven safe mug with cooking spray. Place the croissant dough inside the mug to cover the bottom and sides. Pour the egg mixture over the dough. Fold the tips of the dough over the egg mixture, joining with the dough on the other side. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 350°.
