Day 2: Buttermilk-Beet Sherbet with Hazelnut Brittle: “I love beets, and I love buttermilk—but I’d never thought to put them together in a sherbet! Thank the stars Darcy Lenz thought to do so. This sherbet feels like a miracle: The beet flavor is there, but in just the right amount so that the sherbet has some delicious earthy interest. The magenta color is spectacular, and there’s just the right amount of creaminess.
