Today is the day; the crème de la crème, mecca of all food holidays. Today we praise a food so widely loved it is not a national holiday, but an international one. Today we celebrate BACON.
There are very few things I love more than a bacon, egg, and cheese on a Kaiser roll,
but how about commemorating our old pal by trying something a little different? Here are a few of our favorite, not-so-ordinary bacon recipes.
Go hog wild and let us know what surprising ways you’re cooking up bacon in celebration of this glorious holiday.
Bacon S’mores: This adult twist on a childhood favorite will have you reminiscing about nights spent by the campfire with family and friends.
Bacon-Peanut Popcorn Balls: These delectable snack-size bites pair perfectly with that Kevin Bacon movie you’ll be watching tonight.
Maple-Bacon Chewy Crispy Bars: Maple syrup, chopped applewood-smoked bacon slices, melted marshmallows. Enough said.
Eggs and Bacon Breakfast Pizza: Add an Italian twist to a classic American breakfast by topping a homemade pizza with bacon and eggs.
Oysters with Bacon Mignonette: Because who doesn’t love a good oyster?
